This one is huge!! Sorry I had to check if it was not reported April Fool’s day but it was not. It’s so unreal I can’t help thinking it’s a fake. The last message is just an example of someone getting mad with no reason.

Hey, you know what? We could make a Debian T-shirt with just Debian logo and this bug report number. I’ll buy ten of these at least, this bug report just rocks! My God he’s writing caps-lock at the end, that’s soooo lame.

I thought I’d warn the poor fellow that this bug is just about to become part of his CV, so I wrote a mail pointing out that it’s going to be the #1 search for his name for all time if he’s not careful, and it might be wise to follow up with something a little more tempered to make future job interviews a little less fraught.

His reply was less than polite.

He’s clearly not a deep thinker, since this bug is already google hit #9 after less than a week, and is liable to to only get more famous, and the rest of the hits don’t reflect well on him — I’m wondering if the person of the same name convicted of domestic violence while supposedly suffering from low blood sugar could possibly be the same person😉

If you try with his email address, the #540000 bug report is already #1 in Google🙂

Well, the guy has already been beating his girlfirend:

    http://www.azstarnet.com/allheadlines/152927

He was recently running for Senate in Arizona – democrates even. They must be really desparate over there😉

    I’ll buy 10 of the t-shirts too.

Something more to add: He claims to be “Host Extraordinaire” in his hotel (see the contact page on his website grandadventuresranch DOT …). I can imagine!

The webpage is already worth a visit: “Hollistic horse breading, BioScan Light Therapy, Amazon Herbs”. No wonder he gets nuts😀

And here is a picture of the troll:

Would you have guessed that a troll looks like that, was candidate for Senate and has been beating his girlfriend?

    Just hilarious.

(and I stop now spamming comments here😉

I wonder if this sort of outburst was also responsible for the headline “Jeffrey Chimene – $0 raised, ’06 election cycle, Arizona”

Imagine there might be more than 1 with his name (the senate candidate, the bug reporter, maybe some innocent standing by)?
I have the fortune of having a unique name, but the misfortune of having an almost unique first name shared with a former right-wing politician here in my country…
I hope any prospective employer realizes that any on-line CV will probably be composed of multiple people.

Well, that’s what I thought, but actually, if you look at the various links it doesn’t take too long to find that if there are more than one of them, they all live in the same post code — I’d say that the bug reporter is almost certainly also the democratic candidate, who is also the girlfriend beater — clearly he’d been at the twinkies again when he followed up to that bug.

I suppose that’s why he’s not phased by the bad impression from his bug report behaviour, since everything else you might read about him is liable to be worse.
